Calgary police seek man in sexual assault investigation

Calgary police have released a sketch of a man wanted in relation to a sexual assault investigation.

Calgary police have released a sketch of a man wanted in relation to a sexual assault investigation.

"Just after midnight on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020, a woman was walking in the area of 19 Avenue and Fifth Street S.W., when a man approached her," the police said in a news release.

"The man grabbed the woman and held on to her while sexually touching her. The woman broke free and fled. The man was last seen walking towards 17 Avenue S.W."

The man is described as black, between 20 and 30 years old, standing between five feet, eight inches and six feet tall, weighing 180 pounds. He has a slim build, black buzz-cut hair and was clean shaven with a strong jaw line and high cheek bones.

At the time of the alleged assault, he was wearing a dress shirt and black leather jacket with dark jeans.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
