Calgary Stampede 2016 Sneak-a-Peek

Thousands enjoyed the Calgary Stampede's Sneak-a-Peek event Thursday sampling much of what the 10-day celebration has to offer.

Here's a little taste of what people enjoyed.

It was about joining the crowd on the midway.

It was a chance to taste all the latest foods and snacks.

It was a time to make some noise.

It was about cowboy hats and smiles.

It was about cowboy boots.

A little rain never hurt anybody.

It was about winning prizes.

It was about cooling off with some cold water.

It was fun for all ages.

It was about the rides and colours.

And all of this before the parade even gets under way Friday at 9 a.m.

The Calgary Stampede 2016 runs July 8 to 17. Gates open at 11 a.m. most days.
