Calgary Transit officer sent to hospital after contact with unknown drug
Police said the officer was making an arrest at the Whitehorn C-Train station around 2:30 a.m. when he partially collapsed.

A Calgary Transit peace officer is recovering after cominginto contact with some kind of drug early Sunday morning.
Police said the officer was making an arrest at the WhitehornC-Train station around 2:30 a.m. when he succumbed.
Naloxone was administered, but it's not clear at this time whether it was effective as a treatment, due to conflicting reports from Calgary Transit and Calgary police. Naloxone is used to treat the effects of opioids like fentanyl.
The suspect being arrested admitted to smoking meth, according to police.
The transit officer was taken to hospital in stable condition.
