A Calgary woman found dead in a home with the bodies of three infants had given birth to a healthy baby in hospital in 2005, but police don't know if that baby was amongthe dead infants.

Investigators also don't know if any of the deadbabies were related to the woman.

Harsimrat Kahlon, 27, was found dead by her common-law husband onOct. 4in the rented basement suite they shared in a northeast Calgary home. Authorities responded and cleared the scene.

The next day, a family member discovered the body of a newborn and called police again, revealed Insp. Guy Slater of the major crimes section on Tuesday.

Officers who responded then found the bodies of two more infants in the house.

Slater said records indicate Kahlon gave birth to a baby in 2005, but police are waiting for results of forensic tests to determine if any of the deceased infants were related to her or her partner.

Police are still awaiting results of forensic tests before they can reveal the babies' ages and genders. Slater did not reveal what condition their bodies were in when they were found.

The discovery of the bodies has puzzled the public since the case was publicized last week, but Calgary police released few details in their update on Tuesday, calling the investigation complex and delicate.

However, investigators do not consider Kahlon's common-law husband a suspect, Slater said.

The coupleappeared happy and kept to themselves, he added.
