'We've Got Your Back, Fort Mac': CBC Calgary's charity blitz
CBC Calgary hosted a charity blitz on Wednesday to help people devastated and displaced by the Fort McMurray wildfire.

CBC Calgary hosted a charity blitz on Wednesdayto help people devastated and displaced by the Fort McMurray wildfire.
Radio programs broadcasted from our lobby, with live bands and free snacks, as various charities collected financial donations.
- Canadian Red Cross:Accepting monetary donations to provide immediate assistance.
- Calgary Food Bank:Accepting monetary donations (no food please)to go towardmuch-needed food supplies inthe towns and First Nationcommunities surrounding Fort McMurraythat are providing short-term housing for evacuees, as well as to the Fort McMurray Food Bank to support the residents once they return home.
- Calgary Humane Society:Collecting monetary donationson behalf of registered animal welfare agencies impacted by the wildfire.
