CBC Calgary open house welcomes visitors for Doors Open YYC

CBC Calgary is turning 50 and welcomed visitors to celebrate with a behind-the-scenes look as part of Doors Open YYC.

The cast of Heartland and a variety of CBC hosts and personalities were be on site throughout the day to chat with Calgarians and take them on a tour of the broadcast centre.

Some of the highlights of the day included:

• Opportunity to take photos and interact with Heartland actors Shaun Johnston (Jack Bartlett), Michelle Morgan (Lou Fleming Morris) and Alisha Newton (Georgie).
• Try being a weather specialist with the CBC's Vickie Chase
• Q&A with CBC National News reporters Erin Collins and Carolyn Dunn
• Meet Kyle Shewfelt, the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Athlete Ambassador
• Meet Jim Brown, host of CBC Radio One's The 180
• Q & A with JessiCruikshank, host of Canada's Smartest Person
• Q & A with Erica Johnson, host of CBC Marketplace
