Cranston pedestrian crash leaves boy with life-threatening injuries

An eight-year-old boy has been struck by a vehicle in a southeast Calgary community and sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

An eight-year-old boy has been struck by a vehicle in a southeast Calgary community and sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Calgary police responded to a call just after 5 p.m. Thursday to the intersection of CranfordDrive andCranston Gate S.E.

The child was taken to Alberta Children's Hospital.

The driver remained on scene while police conduct their investigation, which closed theintersection for several hours.
