Copper and cable thieves cause $10,000 in damages

RCMP in Brooks are investigating the theft of copper and electricalcables that caused roughly $10,000 in lost oil and wages.

The incident took place sometime between August 3 and 4 at a Cenovus well site in Brooks.

It's not known how many people were involved or how they transported the goods but the site is localed near Highway 36 and Silver Sage Road.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
