Death of Calgary boy under police investigation

Calgary police say they are investigating the death of five-year-old Eneas Emilio Perdomo who was brought into hospital with severe injuries in July.

Calgary police say they are investigating the death of five-year-old Eneas Emilio Perdomo who was brought into hospital with severe injuries in July.

An autopsy determined theboy's injuries werenot an accident.

Police say hospital staff suspected the swelling and bleeding all over his body was not normal for a child his age afterthe boy'sfamily brought him to the AlbertaChildren's Hospital on July10.

He died a week later.

Staff Sgt.Doug Andrus says they are still talking tothefamily.

"They have not been ruled out.We are looking at anyone who had exclusive opportunity with the child," he said."But they have provided us with statements and information,and those statements and information are not consistent with the injuries suffered by the child."
