Calgary man wanted on warrants may require medical care
Junius Omarr Golar is accused of assault, but police are also concerned for his well being
Calgary police are looking for a man both because he's wanted on warrants for a domestic assault and because they think he might have been seriously injured during the incident.
Junius Omarr Golar, 37, is wanted for two counts of assault, one count of uttering threats and two counts of failing to comply with an order, according to a news release.
Police said they want to find him because they are concerned for his partner's safety and for Golar's well being. They say he sustained an injury during the assault on August 15 that would have required medical attention.
No contact since incident
"Golarspoke to police by phone immediately after the incident, but neither police nor his family have been able to contact or locate him since," reads the release.
"Given his injury and other circumstances around the incident, investigators are concerned for his welfare and need to locate him to ensure both the safety of him and the victim in the incident."
Golar is described as a black man, 5 feet 9 inches tall with black hair, brown eyes and a medium build. He has a panther tattoo on his right shoulder and praying hands and a dragon on his left shoulder.
