Calgary police seize $200,000 worth of drugs following 2-month investigation

Police have seized roughly $200,000 worth of drugs and two men are facing charges following a two-month investigation.

Police have seized roughly$200,000 worth of drugs and two men are facing chargesfollowing a two-month investigation.

Launched in June after receiving a tip that a man was both manufacturing and selling drugs in the Calgary area, the investigation concluded Friday when police stopped a car and found various amounts of fentanyl, cocaine, heroin and cash inside, along with afentanyl pill press.

That led police to a home in the 6400 block of Fourth StreetN.E. where officers discovered a magic mushroom growing operation, a cocaine pill press and a pellet gun.

A 31-year-old man from Calgary isfacing charges ranging from manufacturing cocaine,fentanyl and magic mushrooms, possession of heroin and possession of property obtained by crime.

A 32-year-old man, also from Calgary, was charged with being unlawfully at large.
