Grandparents accused in Calgary boy's death granted bail

A grandfather and step-grandmother accused of killing five-year-old Eneas Emilio Perdomo have been granted bail by a Calgary judge.

A grandfather and step-grandmother accused of killing five-year-old Eneas Emilio Perdomo have been granted bail by a Calgary judge.

Allan Edgardo Perdomo Lopez and Carolina Del Carmen Perdomo are charged with manslaughter in the boy's death.

Emilio was taken to hospital July 10, 2015 suffering injuries family members told doctors were the result of multiple accidents. He died seven days later.

Emilio, who was born in Mexico City,came to Canada without his mother a few months before he died.

The couple turned themselves in to police last month.

Both of the accused were required to surrender their passports and post a surrety of $5,000. Lopez and Perdomoare also prohibited from contacting each other.
