Enmax cuts another 3% of management, professional jobs

Enmax is cutting a further three per cent of its management and professional positions, on top of a 16percent reduction in the senior management ranks earlier in the year.

The Calgary-owned utility company said no front-line customer service or field staff will be affected.

"Like many businesses, Enmax is impacted by the changes taking place in our industry and in the Alberta economy. We have been actively adjusting our organization and, as a result, reduced our senior management (VPs) by 16 per cent throughout 2015," Enmax spokeswoman Doris Kaufmann Woodcock said in an email to CBC News.

"Today, we made the difficult decision to further reduce approximately three per cent of our management and professional workforce."

She said the company would continue to focus on safely serving its customers as well as keeping costs and prices low.

KaufmannWoodcock did not specify how many jobs would be affected.
