Escaped penguin video at Calgary Zoo raises concerns

The penguin exhibit at the Calgary Zoo has becomea favourite with animal fans looking to get up close and personal.

But recently some people got a really close encounter with one penguin thathadescaped.

Calgary Zoo staff say it's not uncommon to see penguins escape their new enclosure, which has some animal welfare groups worried.

They say it's never a good idea for people to touch the penguinsbecause it can be very stressful for them.

CBC reporter Leila Beaudoin went to the zoo to get some reaction.
