Deputy director of Green Line project resigns without explanation

The deputy director in charge of Calgary's Green Line project has quit the city, effective immediately.

Project has faced some hurdles in recent weeks

The deputy director in charge of Calgary's Green Line project no longer works for the city,effective immediately.

Fabiola MacIntyre's resignation was announced to the mayor and members of council in an emailed memo Tuesday afternoon.

No reason for the departure was given.

The city's general manager of transportationMichael Thompson wrote in the email that MacIntyre's contributions to the city and Green Line project were valuable and that she'll be missed.

According to MacIntyre's LinkedIn profile, she's been with the city for 11 years, four of which have been spent on various roles with the Green Line project.

In late June, Allan Neill was hired as new managing director for the Green Line.

He's taking on a big job.

The multi-billion-dollarproject's faced some upheaval over the past few weeks, from calls to postpone it to news the opening could be delayed to 2027.
