Police are appealing to the public for help locating a Calgary man who hasn't been heard from since Sept. 27.

Fletcher Kimmel, 30, was last seen at the 7-Eleven store in the 3500 block of 39th Avenue N.E.

Police believe he was alone at the time.

"His disappearance is now being considered suspicious," said Insp. Don Coleman.

Originally from Brooks, where he still has family, police believe Kimmel was living in the Marda Loop area.

"Fletcher doesn't have a vehicle that we know of," said Coleman.

"He was last seen on foot, travelling, we believe, from the Whitehorn LRT to the 7-Eleven on 39th Avenue."

Coleman said Kimmel was known to police, but wouldn't elaborate.

Family and friends are being cooperative, said Coleman.

A Facebook page has also been created by friends asking for information.

Kimmelis described as white, six foot five inches tall, with a medium build, short brown hair, a close-cropped beard and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
