It's that time of year again when the iconic Canadian goose and their goslings take over Calgary's pathways and parks.

Calgary's parks and pathways have been filled with iconic Canada geese and their fluffy goslings in recent days.

If you've lived in the city for a while, you'll know goslings are a common sight in spring, but it's never a good idea to get too close to their protective parents.

In the past, geese have been known to charge and attack people, especially when their goslings are present.

Tanya Hope, a parks ecologist with the city, told CBC Calgary in 2017 that it's important to give the bird familiesa wide berth for your sake as much as theirs.
