Halloween weather in Calgary expected to be mild and gloomy

The weather in Calgary won't be much of a treat thisHalloween, but won't look like the makings of a horror movieeither.

Partly cloudy skies and cool winds are expected to keep the temperatures around5 C.

"At least you don't have the snowsuit to put on underneath like I remember I doing when I was a kid on a few occasions on the Prairies here," saidTerri Lang, a meteorologistwith Environment Canada.

She said southerly winds will blow through the city because oflow pressure system developing from the east of the mountains.The evening is expected to be mild and relatively unexciting.

"We're not looking for showers, we're not looking for snow or anything like that, which is a nice thing," said Lang.

Hercostume tips for trick-or-treaters includedressing in layers, wearing glovesor wearing a hat tohelp keep warm.

"Of course it could be warmer at this time of year, it could also be a lot colder at this time of year as well so I think this is not a bad forecast."
