Hillhurst stabbing sends Calgary man to hospital

A woman is facing charges after police say she stabbed her partner in the head in a northwest Calgary community, sending him to hospital early Saturday morning.

Police were called to the 1000 block ofGladstone Road N.W. in Hillhurst at about 1 a.m.

Paramedics say the man received lacerations to his head from a sharp object like a knife or broken glass.

The man in his 30s was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition withnon-life-threatening injuries.

The woman, also in her 30s, was taken into custody and is facing charges of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.
