Jen Li says Monki is one of the best brunch spots in Calgary, and it's one of her personal favourites.

It's a cozy 24-seat restaurant with a small patio built into a heritage building in Calgary's Beltline.

Monki specializes in dishes that takecreative licence with many of your favourite brunchclassics. Jen'spersonal favourite issmoked salmon benny with asparagus, topped withprosecco hollandaise and crispy fried capers. Jen says it's served on top of gluten-free biscuits, which is great for those with sensitivities.

Monki is also open for lunchwithpaninis, salads and burgers on the menu. Itdoesn't take reservations and the lineup can get crazy on weekends, but Jen says it's worth the wait.
