One of the two men accused of killing Sutton Bowers, 33, was released on bail Thursday and will be living with his boss in Airdrie.

Bowers' roommates James Beaver, 51, and Brian Lambert, 41, were each charged with manslaughter in October.

On Thursday afternoon, Provincial Court Judge Ken McLeod accepted the release conditions proposed by Crown prosecutor Tom Buglas and defence lawyer Kelsey Sitar.

Beaver was put on 24-hour house arrest and is only allowed to leave to go to work or medical appointments.

He is not allowed to have contact with two of his alleged victim's family members or Lambert.

Police have said there had been some kind of ongoing dispute between the men and that the manslaughtercharges signal that investigators don't believe the men intended to kill the 33-year-old victim.

Neither of the accused has a criminal record in Alberta.

Lambert is back in court Nov. 8. Beaver is back on Nov. 18.
