A Calgary man was badly injured in a violent kidnapping and robbery more than a week ago in Brentwood, police say.

The victim was getting into his car on Nov.18 sometime between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. along Brenner Drive N.W. when a man he didn't know forced his way into the vehicle.

The suspect demanded the victims's phone and wallet and told him to drive the silver or grey 2005 Ford Focus to a construction site near Sage Meadows Green and Symons Valley Parkway N.W.

At that point, he demanded the victim's banking PIN.

When the victim refused, he was assaulted by his attacker, who then ranaway.

The victim tried to drive from the scene, but passed out.

He was later treated by EMS for life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a tall white man. He was wearing a grey or tan hoodie, dark blue coat and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or contact Crime Stoppers.
