Lethbridge police charge 3 suspects for allegedly attacking couple with bat, hatchet and knife

Lethbridge Police have charged three people in relation to an attack Saturday morning that sent a man to hospital with stab wounds to the chest.

Lethbridge Police have charged three people in relation to an attack Saturday morning that sent a man to hospital with stab wounds to the chest.

The man and hisgirlfriend got intoan argument with the three suspectsover property and money at a north side residence, police said in a statement on Sunday.

The trio then allegedly attacked the couple witha bat, hatchet, and knife.

"The male victim sustained a non-life threatening puncture wound to his chest requiring surgery. The female sustained bruising and swelling to her hand," police said.

A man and a woman in their early 20shave been charged withassault with a weapon. They are due to appear in court on Nov. 1.

A warrant has been issued for the third suspect,a 20-year-old man who is charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
