A man is in custody after Lethbridge police seized dozens of weapons from a northside home after a 14-hour operation that involved the citys explosives team.

A man is in custody after Lethbridge police seized dozens of weapons from a northside home after a 14-hour operation that involved the city's explosives team.

Police responded to 214 15th Street N at about 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Handguns, rifles, gas masks, ammunition and two vintage machine guns: the M-2, and a First World War-era Vickers were found in the home.

Police seized between 75 and 100 items.

One man is in custody facing undetermined charges, police say.

Police say there is no risk to the public now.
