Update 8:08 p.m. Aug. 19, 2020:Police confirmed that after responding to what they described as a high-risk incident that was isolated to one residence at the 100 block of Lafayette Blvd. W., Dylan Ivan Sokol was arrestedby the Lethbridge Police Service's Critical Incident Response Team on Wednesday evening.

An arrest warrant has been issued in connection to a Lethbridgehit-and-run that sent a man to hospital in serious condition.

Dylan Ivan Sokol,24, has been charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm, operating a motor vehicle while prohibited and causing an accident resulting in bodily harm.

The charges come after a 37-year-old man was admitted to Chinook Regional Hospital with injuries sustained in a hit-and-run on Aug. 12, the Lethbridge Police Service said in a news release.

The man had pulled over after an altercation with another driver, who was in a red Volkswagen Jetta,at the intersection of 10th Street N.andThird Avenue N.

Police said the ensuing confrontation led to the victim being run over in the street.
