Man killed by C-Train in Chinook Station pedestrian crossing

A man was struck and killed by a C-Train at Chinook Station late Wednesday afternoon, according to emergency services.

Man declared dead at the scene; no reports of other injuries

A man was struck and killed by aC-Trainat Chinook Station, according to emergency services.

The 44-year-oldvictim was hitby a southbound train while he attempted to cross the tracksjust before4:30p.m. on Wednesday.

Paramedics declared the man dead at the scene.There were no reports of any injuries aboard the train,EMS spokesmanStuartBrideauxsaid in a statement.

The following morning, in a separate incident, another person was struck and killed by a C-Train in northeast Calgary.

Police are investigating both incidents.
