Man who threatened Alison Redford and her daughter in court

The trial for a man accused of threatening Alison Redford while she was the premier of Alberta got underway today.

The trial for a man accused of threatening Alison Redford while she was the premier of Albertagot underway in Calgarytoday.

Dakota Hart faces six threats charges for emails and social media posts he made in 2012.

Hart was in the middle of a bitter custody dispute and break up when he allegedly threatened Redford, her daughter, anAlberta Justice lawyer and his former partner, among others.

On June 19, 2012, a threatening email was sent to Alberta Justice, the prime minister, governor general and several media outlets, including the CBC.

Part of the text reads "F--k this nazi failed process. Redfordyou and your daughter will f--king pay."

Another email to an employee of the provincial government reads, "Next time I see you in court I'm going to attack you and try to kill you."

Two witnesses in court Tuesday identified the sender's email addresses as belonging to Hart.

The trial is set to last all week.Redford will not be called as a witness.
