Calgary police are looking for information in connection to a homicide in the northeast last fall.

Maqsood Ahmed, 55, was stabbed in the 4700 block of Westwinds Drive N.E. on Oct. 8, 2014.

He was carrying cash and receipts after closing up his nearby business for the night.

Detectives have identified four people of interest in the case. But they are not cooperating, police say.

A 1999 Toyota Solara believed connected to the homicide was recovered in Castleridge shortly after the crime.

"A search of the car has gleaned significant forensic evidence. However, details of what was found will not be released," police said in a release.

Investigators are now asking for help in tracking a second vehicle that was spotted on on video surveillance.

It is a 2006 to 2008 silver Pontiac Grand Prix.

"We have forensic evidence that helps tie these people to the crime, however, we need people to come forward, we need witnesses to come forward and corroborate what we have from a forensics perspective," said Staff Sgt. Colin Chisholm.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
