Missing Alberta teen found in rural field was killed, believe RCMP

RCMP are investigating whether amissing Alberta teen whose body was foundin a rural area nearsoutheast Airdriewas murdered.

RCMP are investigating whether amissing Alberta teen whose body was foundin a rural area nearsoutheast Airdriewas murdered.

Kalix Langenau, 19, was last seen alive in northeast Calgary onFeb. 15. Police found his bodytwo days later.

The RCMP waited for an autopsy to be completed before identifying him in a press releaseMonday.

The cause ofLangenau's death was not included in the statement. The RCMP Major Crimes Unit's homicideinvestigation is ongoing.

They are asking that anyone who might have seen anything suspicious nearor havedashcam footageof Cross Iron Mill,Range Road 290 and TownshipRoad 264between the hours of1 a.m. and3 a.m.onFeb. 15to contactAirdrie RCMP at 403-945-7200.
