Motorcyclist critically injured near Vulcan

Stars Air Ambulance was dispatched to Vulcan on Saturday after emergency crews found a motorcyclist in life-threatening condition.

Paramedics were called to the area of Highway 842 and Highway 534 east of Vulcan at approximately 10 a.m., where they found the injured driver, anda damaged motorcycle in the ditch.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, was taken to the Vulcan Community Health Centre suffering from a "variety" of traumatic and internal injuries, according to EMS.

Thecause of the collisionis not yet known.
