Calgary police confirmed on Friday that a man found dead in a car in Revelstoke, B.C.,last October is connected to a murder in Calgary's Oakridge community two days earlier.

Cyrus Ebrahimi was found dead in his home in the 2300 block of Oakmoor Drive southwest on Oct.15.

Police immediately started searching for his roommate, Mohammadali Darabi, 32, saying he was possibly armed and dangerous.

Two days later, he was located by RCMP in Revelstoke driving a 2006 Toyota Corolla. Mounties set up a three-block radius around the vehicle and spent five hours trying to communicate with Darabi.

When officers finally approached the car, they found him suffering from fatal injuries. He was declared dead at the scene.

A forensic examination of a handgun found in Darabi's car showed it was the same weapon used to kill Ebrahimi in Calgary.

The B.C coroner did not reveal the cause of Darabi's death; however, the Calgary Police Service says his death was not considered suspicious and the investigation has been closed.
