Online ad featuring stolen tractor leads Alberta RCMP to suspects
Mounties say a tractor worth $25K was stolen from a Stettler-area equipment dealer last Monday
Three people are to appear in a central Alberta court this week after an online ad featuring a stolen tractor led RCMP to the suspected thieves.
Mounties say the tractor worth $25,000 was stolen from a Stettler-area equipment dealer last Monday and the ad showed up the next day.
Officers showed up at the site of the proposed sale, searched the area and found the tractor.
Two men and a woman are facing several charges, including theft over $5,000 and possession of stolen property for the purpose of trafficking.
A 38-year-old Red Deer man, a 34-year-old Halkirk man and an 18-year-old Halkirk woman are to appear in Stettler provincial court on Thursday.
