Pedestrian sent to hospital after being struck by car

Police have closed down the 2500-block of 32 Street N.E. a pedestrian was struck and sent to hospital in potentially life-threatening condition.

Incident comes hours after a hit and run in the city's southeast

Police have closed down the 2500-block of 32 Street N.E. after apedestrian was struck and sent to hospital in potentially life-threatening condition.

It's the second serious car versus pedestrian incident on Tuesday evening, with an earlier hit and run in Midnaporealso sending the victim to hospital in life-threatening condition.

The driver in the northeast incident remained on scene and police do not believe alcohol to be a factor.

The area could be closed to traffic for several hours.
