Calgary man escapes attempted abduction at gunpoint, police say

A man managed to avoid being abducted at gunpoint by banging on his car and honking the horn,Calgary police say.

The man arrived home in the 2800 block of 23 Ave. S.W.on the afternoon of June 8, and a green SUV pulled up behind him, police say.

Two men got out and pulled out a handgun and told the man to come with them.The victim banged on his car and honked the horn to attract attention and the men fled, they added.Police believe a third man was driving the SUV.

They think it was a targeted incident.

The suspects are described as:

• A black male, 5'5" to 5'8" tall, between 25 and 35 years old, with a slight Jamaican accent and wearinga black hoodie.
• A black man, 5'10" to 6' tall, between 25 and 35 years old, with curly hair.
• The third suspect, the driver of the vehicle, is described as black.

Police are asking for help in identifying the men or the older-model green SUV.
