Police lay charges in Calgary's second murder of the year
A 22-year-old man has now been charged in connection with the death of Chad Largy.
Largy's severed arm was found in a dumpster in southwest Calgary on Jan. 20. The rest of his body has not been located.
On Monday, Calgary police executed a search warrant at an apartment along 14A St. They arrested a man without incident.
The suspect has been charged with second-degree murder. Police say he was a friend of the victim. He's also facing charges of arson and property damage.
Police say sometime after the arm was discovered, the suspect rented a truck that was found abandoned and burned.
Staff Sgt. Barry Cochran says the police are still looking for Largy's remains as well as a green Ford Escort owned by the accused.
