Calgary police officer's 'lost' and loaded firearm magazine found safe in district office

A Calgary police officer might be feeling a bit sheepish but relieved that the magazine and 15 rounds of ammunitionlost on duty last week has been found in a safe place right inside the District 8 office.

Police said last Friday the magazine was believed to have fallenfrom the officer's duty beltonApril 28, sometime between 3:30 and 5 p.m., somewherein the south of the city.

On Monday, police said themagazineand all the ammunition were located in the District 8 office.

Calgary police had said the magazine "poses minimal risk to the public" on its own,without a firearm.
