Police search property north of Calgary in relation to missing person

Police are continuing their search of a rural property located north of the city in connection to a Calgary man who has been missing since August and is believed to be the victim of foul play.

Police are continuing their search of a rural property located north of the city in connection to a Calgary man who has been missing since August and is believed to be the victim of foul play.

In a statement released Wednesday afternoon, Calgary police said investigators, who have been searching the property since Saturday, expect to continue their investigation into the coming weekend.

"[Police]were led to the property in search of evidence related to his disappearance," said the statement.

Christopher Stevenson, 37, was last seen on Aug. 24 entering a buildingin the 600 block of Sixth Avenue S.E., according to a statement by Calgary police.

When he was last seen, Stevenson waswearing a two-toned flat-brimmed baseball cap, a hoodie bearing images of skulls, black pants, white shoes, and a black medical mask.

Police said in the days leading up his disappearance he was seen drivinga grey 2021 Dodge Ram truck with Alberta licence plate CPR 3434.

That vehicle was later located outside of Calgary city limits, along with Stevenson's dog thatpolice said was roaming in the nearby area.

Two peoplewere taken into custody in relation to Stevenson's disappearance on Sept. 15, after a search warrant was executedinthe 600 block of Sixth Avenue S.E. They remain in police custody for unrelated reasons.

In regards to the search of the rural property, police said no further details are available on the matter as the investigation remains ongoing.
