Calgary police are asking for the public's help in a homicide investigation stemming from last spring.

On May 3 at about 1:30 a.m., police responded to a house on Edgeridge Green N.W. after a 911 hangup call.

Zhi Heng Xu, 41, of Calgary was found dead. Xu, also known as Donny Tu, died as a result of a gunshot wound.

Investigators need help in identifying who was in a car seen in the area shortly after the shooting.

The vehicle is described as being an early 2000s, Japanese-made four-door, with a dark colour and possibly a loud muffler.

Police are also looking to identify a man seen leaving the scene. He is described as being of Asian or Arab descent, about five feet, seven inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds.

After the shooting, police called the homicide targeted, because it appeared someone walked up to the front door of the home and shot the person who answered.

Anyone with information is asked to call Calgary police at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
