Suspect arrested after police cars rammed in Okotoks Walmart last month

A man suspected of ramming two police cars with a stolen truck in a Walmart parking lot in Okotoks late last month has been arrested, RCMP say.

A man suspected of ramming two police cars with a stolen truck in a Walmart parking lot in Okotokslast month has been arrested, RCMPsay.

Cameron David Randall, 34, was who wasknown to frequent the Calgary area, was picked up by city officers on Saturday, based on information provided by Okotoks RCMPinvestigators.

On Oct. 26, just before 6 p.m., police were called to the Okotoks Walmart parking lot for reports of an erratic driver.

When officers approached the suspect's vehicle, a 2002 white Dodge truck, the suspect rammed both patrol cars and fled the scene. Theofficers were not hurt.

Warrants for his arrest were issued Nov. 2 and members of the public were warned not to approach him.

Randall has been charged withassault with a weapon, assaulting a police officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failure to remain at the scene of an accident and possession of stolen property.
