Red Deer driver charged for watching movie on highway

RCMP have charged a 42-year-old Red Deer man with distracted driving for watching a movie on a laptop computer while driving.

AirdrieRCMP responded to Highway 2 near Cairstairs, Alta., on Wednesday night after receiving a complaint.

RCMP say another motorist had passed a blue Chrysler minivan travelling southbound and noticed the man was watching a movie and called police.

The responding officer also saw the manwatchingthe film once the van waslocated, according to RCMP.
