Three men face charges after a drug trafficking sting in Red Deer turned up stashes of cocaine and methamphetamine and more than $35,000 in cash.

Three men face charges after a drug trafficking sting in Red Deer turned up stashes of cocaine and methamphetamine and over $35,000 in cash.

RCMP carried out a search warrant at a house on Clearview Ridge on Jan. 22, finding217 grams of cocaine, about 50 grams of methamphetamine and almost $2,100 cash.

Two men who were in the house were arrested without incident, police say.

A third man was arrested enteringthe house as police were searching it. Police allege he was carrying another 111 grams of cocaine and more than$33,000 in cash.

Red Deer RCMP began their investigation into the suspected trafficking operation on Jan. 14.

A 22-year-old man from Red Deer, a 23-year-old man from Blackfalds and a 32-year-old man from Lloydminster all face numerous drug trafficking and stolen property charges.

The first two suspects are set to appear in court in Red Deer on Jan. 28.
