Quentin Strawberrry arrested in Red Deer after police foot chase

The RCMP in Red Deer have arrested 35-year-old Quentin Strawberry after officers saw him walking on a street and chased him.

Strawberry was wanted on warrants on 9 charges, including assault with a weapon

The RCMP in Red Deer have arrested 35-year-old Quentin Strawberry after officers saw him walking on a streetand chased him.

Strawberrywas wanted on Alberta-wide warrantson nine charges, including assault with a weapon.

The warrants were issued Friday after Strawberry had failed to appear in court.

He was arrested Tuesday around noon when officers found him walking on a street.

Strawberry ran away to a ground floor apartment and managed to escape through a rear window as police tried to contain the building.

Police dog services tracked the man to a nearby house that he was knownto frequent and took him into custody.

Strawberry is now facing additional charges of robbery andassault in connection with a carjackingand robbery in Red Deer on Aug. 7.

A new trial date has not been set.
