TheCalgary Police Service is looking for a "road rage suspect"after a vehicle was forced off the road at highway speeds.

Police say a black pickup truck and white pickup truck were driving eastbound on Glenmore Trailnear the intersection of 52nd Street S.E. at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

The drivers had a conflict that escalated, police say, and it's believed the driver of the white pickup intentionally drove into the back of the black pickup.

The white pickup then drove into oncoming traffic to get beside the other vehicle and forced it off the road by sideswiping it. Both were driving at an estimated 100 kilometres per hour.

Police say the victim was not injured, and the white pickup fled the scene, continuing east on Glenmore Trail.

Investigators have not been able to locate the white pickup truck, which is describedas a2002-09 Dodge Ram, with a two-inch lift kit, a matte black after-market front bush bumper, a black pinstripe around the centre and multiple red toolboxes in the box.

According to police, it will likely have damage on the front bumper and passenger side.

The driver is described as a Caucasian man, in his early to mid 40s, with a slim build and short hair.

Anyone with information about this incident or the driver is asked to contact police by calling the non-emergency number at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be left anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers.
