Daniel Levesque, 29, was found in his southwest townhouse on June 29, 2008, by his common-law wife. Police are withholding his cause of death for investigative purposes.

"Our investigation suggests that the victim was befriended by two of the assailants in the days leading up to the homicide," said Staff Sgt. Kevin Forsen of the Calgary police homicide unit on Wednesday.

Police said they believe robbery may have been the motive for Levesque's death.

On Wednesday, investigators released images taken from an LRT security camera in an attempt to identify people who may have information on the case.

Levesque was a carpenter who left behinda wife and two children.
