Two people have been taken to hospital after a pickup truck rear-ended a school bus in southern Alberta Tuesday.

RCMP say the female driver of a pickup truck that rear-ended a school bus in southern Alberta is in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A male passenger was also seriously injured.

Mounties in Strathmore, east of Calgary, say the bus was stopped on a rural road in Wheatland County Tuesday morning to pick up students.
