Shannon Madill not woman in photos found in Fish Creek park

Police say pictures that sparked a search of Fish Creek Provincial Park are part of an art project and have nothing to do with the disappearance of Shannon Madill.

Photos found attached to trees in Fish Creek Provincial Park havenothing to do with a missing Calgary woman, police say.

The discovery of the photos, showing a woman with an obscured face, sparked a search of the park with police dogs for Shannon Madill (Burgess).

But police said Thursday morning that the photos are part of an art project.

Police are continuing to search for Madill, who police say may be in Calgary or Vancouver.

Madill, 25, has not been seen since Nov. 27 at her home in the 1900 block ofSpillerRoad S.E.

Although there are no indications of foul play, it is out of character for her to not be in touch with family and friends, and police are concerned for her welfare. Shannon frequently travels to Edmonton to visit friends and for work as a performance artist and standup comedian, police said in a press release.

Madill is approximately 130 pounds, five feet six inches tall, with red hair and green eyes.
