Huntington Hills shooting sends teen to hospital

A man in his late teens was taken to hospital after an early morning shooting at a home in Huntington Hills in northwest Calgary.

Police are investigating a shooting in Huntington Hills innorthwest Calgary that left a man in his teens with a gunshot wound to his chest, officials say.

EMS and police were called to a home in the communityjust before 3:30 a.m. MT on Wednesday.

First responders waited for police to secure the scene before entering the home in the 7100 block of Hunterville Road N.W., said EMS spokesman Stuart Brideaux.

They found one man in his late teens with a gunshot wound to hisupper torso area.

He was taken to hospital in seriousbut non-life-threatening condition.
