Shooting in northeast Calgary puts 1 man in hospital

One man is in hospital after a shooting Saturday night in the 5300 block of Rundlehorn Drive N.E.

Police are investigating, say they have no suspects at this time.

One man is in hospital after a shooting Saturday night in northeast Calgary.

Police were called to the scene in the 5300 block of RundlehornDrive N.E. last night around 8p.m. MT.

A witness at the scene told CBC News she was getting gas when she heard a shot and saw a man drop to his knees.

She then saw a truck drive off, firing three more shots as it left the scene.

The man was taken to hospital inlife-threatening conditionbut has since been upgraded to serious.

The witness says this isn't the first shooting she's been a witness to on thatstreet and she fears for the safety of her family.

"Its happened too much, its scary, its too close to home," said Kristen, who declined to give her last name.

"I dont know whats happening but somethings out of control and something needs to be done because its becoming too frequent, its becoming the norm and its not normal.Its just not normal."

Police are investigating and say they have no suspects at this time.
