Homicide unit asks for info after man found dead

Calgary police are asking for information after a suspicious death in southeast Calgary early Sunday morning.

Calgary police are asking for the publics help after a suspicious death in southeast Calgary early Sunday morning.

Philip Anny was found dead on the road in the 100 block of Appleside Close S.E. Officers had responded to reports of gunshots around 3:30 a.m. MT.

His family was at home and heard the gunshots. When they rushed out, they saw him in the street, they said.

Anny was in his 20s.

Anny's family said he was a nice, quiet guy who did not like to fight.

Homicide investigators believe this was a targeted attack, but are not confirming how the man died. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

No arrests have been made but several people have been questioned.

Detectives are asking the public to come forward if they have any information.
