Investigators were on scene gathering surveillance camera footage and talking to witnesses.

Later in the morning,Okotoks RCMPfound a burnt-out SUVin Foothills County. Calgary police said the vehicle, a white 2022 Ford Expedition, is connected to the homicide.

Investigators believe the suspect, or suspects, purchased gas before the shooting and used the fuel to burn the SUVafter.
